Enable Recite

If you are experiencing mental health problems, it can make it harder to stay in employment or find new employment.

Our dedicated Employment Advisors can offer you tailored support to complement your therapy. They can help with employment difficulties that may be related to your emotional wellbeing such as unemployment, stress at work or fear of redundancy.

We can help with:

  • CV writing, creating job search accounts and applying for roles
  • Interview skills to build confidence
  • In-work support, Wellbeing Action plans and Phased returns
  • Training, education and voluntary opportunities
  • Benefit advice and guidance
  • How to talk to your employer about your mental health
  • Workplace stress

How to access the Employment Advice team:

If you feel as though you may benefit from some talking therapy, you can refer yourself into the service here or by calling 01482 247111.

During the referral process, you will be asked if you would like some employment support. If you do, you will receive a call from one of our experienced employment advisors to arrange an appointment at a time that suits you.

If you are already receiving support from NHS Hull Talking Therapies, you can ask for a referral to the Employment Advice team at any point.

You will have between 4 and 6 appointments which will run alongside your therapy sessions. You can stop these at any time without it affecting your therapy.
